LPGA Marathon Classic: Ardina cards 69, Pagdanganan falters with 77

Filipino golfers Dottie Ardina shot a two-under par 69 and Bianca Pagdanganan had a six-over par 77 in the third round of the LPGA Marathon Classic at the Highlands Meadows Golf Club Saturday in Sylvannia, Ohio.

It was the first time in three days that the 22-year-old Pagdanganan finished over par after she came through with a 69 and 67 in the first two rounds.

She is now even par for the tournament with a total score of 213.

The Asian Games gold medalist in team event struggled with double bogeys on 11 and 15, as well as five bogeys including three straight on 3, 4 and 5 as she made just three birdies on 8, 9 and 16.

Pagdanganan is tied with five others for 62nd place.

Ardina, on the other hand, went under par for the second straight day after her 72 and 70 in the first two days. She now has a total of 211, tied for 49th place with four other participants.

Former world No.1 Lydia Ko remained on top after a 68 for a total score of 197 and a four-shot lead on American Danielle Kang, who fired a 70 and has 201, followed by Minjee Lee of New Zealand and Jodi Ewart Shadoff of the UK, tied at fourth at 203.
