After 12 days of being closed down to undertake disinfection measures of its premises, and strictly follow the government’s heath protocols, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Central Office (CO) in Batasan Hills in Quezon City will open its doors to the public on Monday, August 3.
“Following its closure due to the observance of precautionary measures and government health and quarantine protocols, the CSC Central Office (CO) will resume its operations effective 3 August 2020,” the CSC said in an advisory issued Saturday night.
“In this regard, CSC clients who intend to visit the Central Office for certain services and transactions are advised to make appointments through the CSC’s Online Registration, Appointment, and Scheduling System (ORAS),” the advisory read.
On Monday, the CSC announced that it will remain closed from July 27 to 31 after it recorded four confirmed cases of COVID-19.
It said the closure was made to allow officials and employees to observe the required period of self-isolation pending results of the COVID-19 testing conducted on July 24.
Since July 15, the Central Office has been closed to undertake disinfection measures of its premises and the following week from July 20 to 24, it remained closed for “continued disinfection.”
The CSC advised its clients to continuously avail the services of its Integrated Records Management Office (IRMO), Office for Legal Affairs (OLA), Civil Service Institute (CSI), and Human Resource Relations Office (HRRO) through online.
The CSC has urged the public to take advantage of its web-based online scheduling application to book their appointment to avail its records management services, and other services.
Covered by the online booking is the CSC certification and/or authentication or certified true copy of the records on file at the central office. These include the Career Service (professional and subprofessional) Eligibility; Civil Service Eligibility Granted under Special Laws and CSC Issuance; CSC Issuance, which include memorandum circular, resolution, decision; Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) from 2009 to 2018; and Service Card in various agencies from 1930 to 1989.
Those who will be availing certified copy of their employment record such as appointment paper for those who were assigned in agencies under the jurisdiction of the National Capital Region (NCR) and Regional Office No. 4 (Southern Tagalog) from 1980 to 1989 are also encouraged to book their appointment, the CSC said.
The CSC urges former Civil Service Commission employees to undergo the same process to request for certification of their Statement of Service Record.
