TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Joint personnel of Kalinga Provincial Police office and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera, discovered and destroyed marijuana plantation worth P42 million at mountainous town of Tinglayan, Kalinga.
Police Colonel Davy Limmong, provincial director, said the two day marijuana eradication was implemented through Oplan 10 Kilo Kosat initiated by personnel from PIB/DEU, Tinglayan MPS, Kalinga PFMC, RDEU PROCOR, RID PRO Cor, 1503rd RMFB15, PDEA Kalinga, PDEA Mt. Province, PDEA R1, PDEA R2 and PDEA R4B.
The operatives discovered of the following sites planted with fully grown marijuana plants at Barangay Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga on Wednesday and Thursday morning.
On the site 1, a total of 60,000 fully grown marijuana plants with DDB value of P12,000,000, while on the site 2 were 150,000 FGMJ plants with a DDB value of P30,000,000.
Limmong said, the total land area of the discovered marijuana plantations is estimated to 8,000 sqm planted with 210,000 fully grown marijuana plants with a DDB value of Pp42,000,000, were uprooted and burned on site.
