MWSS QC office on temporary lockdown after one staff tests positive for COVID-19


The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) Regulatory Office in Quezon City will be temporarily closed starting July 29 after one of its personnel tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the MWSS said its office premises will be temporarily closed “until further notice” and will adopt a work-from-home arrangement for the meantime.

The MWSS said the COVID positive personnel has already been placed under quarantine.

“We are doing our utmost to provide support for the affected family,” it said.

The MWSS said it will conduct thorough disinfection of its premises, contact tracing, swab testing, isolation, and other monitoring protocols during its “temporary lockdown.”

Stakeholders of MWSS were advised to course all their inquiries, concerns, and other communications through the agency’s official email accounts.

“Rest assured that we will fulfill our mandate and service obligations through our current work arrangement and deliver vital and timely information through our official social media pages and website,” the MWSS said.
