The Department of the Interior and Local Government-National Police Commission (DILG-NAPOLCOM) Center and its annex building in Quezon City are now under a week-long lockdown starting on July 28.
In the advisory signed by DILG Executive Assistant Jerry Loresco, the building will be disinfected with contact tracing undertaken after a DILG employee was tested positive for COVID-19.
All personnel of DILG Central Office and annex building will also undergo home quarantine.
From July 28 to August 2, the advisory noted that a work-from-home policy will be imposed on employees while regular office services at the DILG are expected to resume on August 3, but with only a skeleton workforce.
The “no visitor policy’’ will be strictly enforced but in extreme cases key officials and concerned personnel may enter the premises without interacting with the other offices.
DILG Undersecretary and spokesperson Jonathan Malaya sent a viber photo where the advisory noted that stay-in employees will remain at the DILG-NAPOLCOM Building as no employee will be allowed to go in and out of the building during the week-long lockdown.
For monitoring purposes, the advisory stated that “health declaration forms’’ shall be continuously administered to stay-in employees.
The advisory also noted that stay-in personnel showing COVID-19 symptoms will be brought to the isolation room at the 8th floor of the building.
