Alice Dixson finally tackles ‘ahas’ issue

The story about Alice Dixson being among supposed victims of a “snake man” that once resided inside a popular mall made headlines in the ‘80s.

It all started supposedly from a tabloid report “quoting” the actress as admitting to this, going on to detail how she escaped the clutches of the alleged monster that attacked her inside the mall’s fitting room, running as fast as she could through a secret passage that led to a nearby hotel.

Soon after, other reports came out about Alice having been allegedly paid by the mall’s management a hefty amount to keep the whole thing hush-hush.

True enough, nothing was heard about the incident again — neither from the mall nor the actress — in the past 30 years.

But the story remains. In fact, many still talk and wonder about it like they would about the urban legend of the White Lady in Balete Drive.

So, was it true? Did it really happen?

Well, Alice herself has finally addressed the urban legend recently via YouTube.

She said, “Mahal kong kababayans…hindi ko gustong buhayin ang chismis; that is the farthest from my intention. Nais ko lang linawin ang mga naganap nung dalaga pa ako.”

Alice added she is only doing so now as she “made a promise to a dear friend.”

“I said I would tell my side of the story this year at dahil 30 year anniversary na this month, it is NOW time.”

Alice admitted to have visited the mall for a shoot then but nothing untoward happened.

“This is not a denial..I’m not denying anything but nothing really happened,” she insisted.

She hypothesized it was all an elaborate hoax crafted by mass communications students as an experiment just to see how fast the story would spread.

She also denied being paid by the mall in exchange for her silence.

The 50-year-old actress wants to put an end to the wild story, insisting “If this is true then why aren’t there others who stepped out to corroborate this myth?”

As of this writing, Alice’s video has gone viral, garnering over 190,000 views and 5,000 likes.

It has also earned mixed reactions.

Some netizens lauded Alice for finally breaking her silence.

Of course, there are others skeptical about it, believing not so long ago, there was indeed a snake man lurking in some dark corner of a mall who tried and failed to get a taste of the luscious actress.
