2 PAGASA staff at NAIA get COVID


The Manila International Airport Authority has confirmed that two weather specialists of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport tested positive for COVID-19.

The PAGASA office at the NAIA has been closed for disinfection.

Quarantine officials are now conducting contact tracing.

PAGASA personnel at NAIA issue weather alerts for ground personnel working at the tarmac.

MIAA General Manager Ed Monreal said 24 airport employees have tested positive for coronavirus and most of them have been cleared.
