K-pop boy band iKON members Ju-ne and Jinhwan suffered injuries when their vehicle hit a retaining wall on a national highway in South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea.

The accident happened at about 3:40 a.m. (2:40 a.m. in the Philippines) on July 13, the Gyeongnam provincial newspaper reported.

Their van, driven by an unidentified person, was cruising along National Route 3, a national highway, in Namhae County when it skidded in the rain and hit a retaining wall. Namhae is about 314 km from Seoul.

As a result, Ju-ne, Jinhwan and the driver suffered minor injuries and were treated at a nearby hospital.

According to the Namhae Police, the accident is being investigated as being caused by drunk driving.

YG Entertainment has issued a statement regarding the car accident involving the two iKON members.

“Doctors' diagnosis showed that the injuries of driver ‘A’ and the members on the car are mild. After receiving first aid, the members are now resting at home,” the agency said, My Daily reported.

It added, “Although we have strict internal rules against drunk driving, we feel very worried and deeply responsible for the accident. We will investigate the matter more closely in relation to the facts involved and take appropriate strict measures. Driver ‘A’ will honestly face the police investigation. Our company would like to extend our sincere apology to everyone.”

iKON made their comeback last February with their third mini-album “I Decide.” Last month, their music video for “Love Scenario,” uploaded on Jan. 25, 2018, reached 400 million views on YouTube. It now has 407 million views to date.
