Areas in Antipolo, nearby municipalities to experience power, water interruption


ANTIPOLO CITY -  Some areas in this city will experience power interruption for five hours on July 14 while several villages in this city and nearby municipalities will have no water supply starting July 15, due to maintenance activities by Manila Electric Company and Manila Water.

In Antipolo City, portions of the city from Sitio Sukol to Sitio Masikap in Barangay Dalig, and Sitio El Dorado will have no electricity between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14.

In a post on its Facebook page, the city government announced that MERALCO has scheduled the relocation of its facilities that were affected by the projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)  along San Joaquin Road in Barangay Dalig and San Jose in this city.

Meanwhile, in a service advisory posted on its Facebook page, Manila Water announced that its Siruna Pumping Station in Barangay Mambugan, Antipolo City will undergo maintenance work starting at 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, until 5 a.m.  Thursday, July 16.

Affected areas are Barangays Bagong Nayon; Pagrai areas of Mayamot/Cupang, and Dalig, except along Road to Teresa, Tapales, Gamboa; Dela Paz; Sta. Cruz, San Isidro (except Bermuda Heights, Buliran Road along Circumferential Road); San Roque; San Luis (except Corville, Biong, Primavera); San Jose (except Marcos Highway) -- all in Antipolo City.

In Teresa, Barangays Poblacion, San Gabriel, May-Iba, Dulumbayan, Calumpang, Sto. Cristo, Prinza, Bagumbayan, Dalig and San Roque, will also have no water.

Barangay San Guillermo in Morong, Barangay Dolores in Taytay, Barangay Mahabang Parang in Angono, and Barangay Palangoy in Binangonan will also experience water interruption from 9 p.m. on July 15 to 5 a.m. on July 16.  

Manila Water is advising residents in the affected areas to store water to use during the interruption period.
