DSWD eyes 80% payout in 2nd tranche of SAP

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said Saturday that it is seeking to cover 80 percent of its targeted beneficiaries in the second tranche of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) by end of July.

DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista said so far, over 1.5 million beneficiaries of the 12 million households targeted to receive the second wave of emergency cash subsidies have been served.

"Actually, ang prinoproject namin ngayon by end of July, makaka-80 percent ng payout. Unang una, nakikita namin na established  na digital payment kaya sigurado kami na mas malaki ang maipapamahagi na ayuda by end of July (Actually, we are projecting now by end of July,  we can have 80 percent payout. First of all, we see that the digital payment has been established, that is why we are sure that bigger amount of subsidies will be distributed by end of July)," he said in an interview over DZBB.

“Itong 20 percent na sinasabi namin, ito 'yung nagkakaroon ng crossmatching. Kasi ang ginagawa namin pag nagkakameron ng duplication, isinisintabi namin muna 'yan at dinodouble check namin hanggang masigurado namin na ito ay clean list (This 20 percent we are saying, this undergoes crossmatching. What we do when there is duplication, we temporarily shelve it for double checking to ensure that we get a clean list)," he added.

He said in the coming days, around 700,000 beneficiaries who are included in the "clean list" are expected to receive their cash aid.

"Sa ngayon umaabot na tayo sa 1,517, 918 beneficiaries na nabigyan ng ayuda ng Social Amelioration Program at sa susunod na araw ay magbibigay pa rin tayo nga ayuda sa 700,000 beneficiaries (Currently,  1,517,918 beneficiaries have been given cash aid under Social Amelioration Program and in the coming days,  we will give aid to 700,000 beneficiaries)," Bautista said.

"Asahan natin na susunod na araw ay talagang sunod sunod na ang pamimigay natin ng ayuda nationwide (Expect that in the coming days,  there will be continuous distribution of cash aid nationwide)," he assured.

Bautista said they have conducted digital payout in the National Capital Region (NCR), particularly in Caloocan City, Makati City, Pasig City,  and Quezon City.

They conducted manual SAP payout in Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Region I (Ilocos),  Region 3 (Central Luzon), Region 4-A (Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Rizal, and Quezon area),  Region 5 (Bicol), Region 6 (Western Visayas),   Region 7 (Central Visayas), Region 11 (Davao), and Region 12 (South Cotabato, Sarangani, and General Santos area).
