According to DSWD-7 Information Officer Leah Quintana, there was a total of 143,626 4Ps beneficiaries with cash card accounts, and about 1,928 non-cash card holders that received the financial aid representing the minimum wage rate per region.

The cash subsidy is meant to provide the poor households an additional resource to allow them to purchase necessities such as food, medicines, vitamins and hygiene essentials, Quintana added.

She added that the computation of receivable amounts covered in the SAP emergency subsidy included the emergency subsidy amount of P4,650, while the remaining P 1,350 were for the health grant (P750) and rice subsidy (P600) that were given in their regular payout.

Based on Executive Order No. 112, S. of 2020 dated April 30, DSWD listed low income families who are under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in the month of May and this includes Cebu province for the Central Visayas region.
