Santa Rosa Community Hospital to be temporarily closed after several health workers contract COVID-19

SANTA ROSA CITY, Laguna - The main building of the Santa Rosa Community Hospital (SRCH) will be temporarily closed from July 10 to July 23 after several health workers tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

According to the city government, some of the frontliners who contracted the virus are confined at SRCH's Medical Arts Building (MAB) which was converted into a COVID-19 Building. Other health care workers who tested positive were admitted to a private hospital.

Healthcare workers who were exposed to COVID-19 patients, on the other hand, are currently on home quarantine to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.

The temporary shutdown will also allow the disinfection and decontamination of the whole facility. In addition, maintenance and repair will be done on the main building's medical ward, operating room, triage section, emergency room, and the waiting area of the main building.

Despite the temporary closure of the main building, the Dialysis Center and the COVID-19 Building of the hospital will remain operational to serve patients.
