In a Facebook post on Thursday (July 9), Domagoso said he signed the appointment papers of five employees of the Public Recreations Bureau.

The five regularized employees served as casual and job order employees of the city government from five years to up to 23 years.

"Pagkatapos ng mahigit dalawang dekada bilang casual at job order employees, ngayon ay regular na silang empleyado ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Maynila (After over two decades of serving as casual and job order employees, they are now regular employees of the Manila city government!)" Domagoso wrote in his post.

"Congratulations po sa inyo! Nawa'y pagbutihan niyo pa po ang pagbibigay ng serbisyong publiko sa mga Manileño (Congratulations to you! I hope you continue to provide good public service to Manileños)," he added.

In his State of City Address (SOCA) on July 2, the Manila mayor said he has signed a total of 1,107 appointments in the city government in his first year in office.

Of this number, 624 were newly-hired employees while 483 were newly-promoted.
