Primetime idol headlining new campaign

Chery Auto Philippines kicked off their new #StartYourJourney online campaign on Facebook live, earlier this week, unveiling their new brand ambassador in the process.
The campaign encourages Filipino netizens who are starting a career, planning a family, a business or starting a new life to find the right companion, one of Chery’s Tiggo line of crossovers, to make the journey worth it.
During this campaign launch, they also introduced the newest member of the Chery Philippines family, actor, Coco Martin. He starts his journey as the brand ambassador of the Chery Tiggo line of crossovers and in particular the flagship midsize seven-seater Tiggo 8 which he uses for both work and leisure.
We took the time to interview the new brand ambassador about his choice of vehicle.
What made you choose Chery as your automotive brand endorsement?
“I love cars and motorcycles. Nung unang nakita ko yung Chery, nagustuhan ko agad yung porma. It fits my personality. Lalo ko nagustuhan ang Chery nung na-drive ko siya. Chery is a new brand, pero nung nasakyan at na-drive ko na, nakita ko agad yung potential ng brand. Matagal ko na naririnig ang Chery brand, 12 years na. Masaya ako na nasa mabuting kamay na ang brand under the UAAGI Group.
How does Chery compare to other brands?
“Na-drive ko na yung mga Chery Tiggo. Bukod sa maganda ang mga design, sobrang daming features sa loob at very luxurious yung interior. Pang high-end luxury car yung features niya. And you get all that at a very affordable price. It's very practical, affordable, and has the best warranty. Sigurado ka sa Chery.
What is your favorite feature in your Tiggo 8?
“All features of my Tiggo 8 SUV are great, but my favorite is the Chery Smartwatch Key. Kaya ng watch ko i-start yung car, unlock the doors, open the windows and turn on the aircon; kaya pag sakay ko, malamig na yung interior! It even monitors my health and pairs with my smartphone, kaya pati notifications ng phone ko, natatanggap ko sa watch ko. Isa ko pang favorite is the comfort and the space. Perfect for long rides where I can rest and relax in the leather seats. Ang laki pa ng sunroof kaya luxurious talaga.
How does the Chery Tiggo 8 drive?
“Gusto ko ng malakas na kotse. May turbo yung makina ng Chery Tiggo 8 kaya malakas ang hatak kahit automatic transmission siya. Perfect kapag naghahabol kami sa oras dahil sa hectic schedule ko. Pero kahit malakas ang makina, matipid pa rin siya sa gas. Isa ko pang gusto ay yung comfortable ride niya. Malaki at maluwag sa loob ung Tiggo 8 pero ang riding comfort niya ay tulad ng mas malaki pang kotse.
What can you say to Chery Philippines and to current and future Chery owners?
“I'm really excited to see more Chery Tiggos on the road in the coming days. Perfect yung brand for those who will buy their first car and even for those who want a bigger, more luxurious car than the one they have.
