Fashion icon Heart Evangelista and online sensation Mimiyuuuh think students could better express themselves if the design of school uniforms were "inclusive."

"Clothes really have no gender," Mimiyuuuh pointed out in a video posted on Lazada's Facebook page.

According to him, he already knew at a young age that he's a member of the LGBTQ+ community. He could only hope schools were more supportive of them back then.

Heart couldn't agree more, saying she, herself, experienced exclusion.

"Kasi maliit ako, 5'2" ta's 'yung mga classmates ko mga foreigner, eh bawal mag-heels," she shared. "So sana binibigyan ng time to express ang bata kung anong gusto nilang suotin kahit kulay man lang or something."

The two took part in a "Design Your Dream Uniform: Fashion Design Challenge" where they were asked to make a sketch of how they want school uniforms to look.

Heart drew a short skirt and vest-styled uniform.

"Para siyang vest pero 'di siya separate kasi mainit. So gusto ko nakatahi na siya doon, parang isang tela. Tapos 'yung likod niya wala nang vest. Parang top lang siya," she explained.

Heart would like an all-white uniform matched with knee-high socks and bow tie with changeable color based on section.

"Kung strict talaga 'yung school, meron lang siyang choices ng color ng ribbon. So ikaw na bahala pumili," said the actress.

Mimiyuuuh, who has a degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising, drew a top with puff sleeves then paired it with an asymmetric pleated skirt.

He said the material should be made of cotton because we’re in a tropical country.
