The announcement was shared by publisher Visprint on Saturday (June 20), who revealed that the North American edition of the series will come out in the U.S. in October.

Released in 2005, the horror-crime comic is written by Budjette Tan and artist Kajo Baldisimo.

The series follows the story of Alexandra Trese, a detective who deals with crimes of supernatural origin.

Comic Beat shared preview pages of the upcoming first volume, "Trese Vol 1: Murder on Balete Drive," showing all new artwork done by Baldisimo for the North American version.

The version will also feature redrawn artwork, behind-the-scenes sketches, information, and details on the making of the comic as told by creators Tan and Baldisimo.

"Trese" won the Philippine National Book Award for Best Graphic Literature of the Year in 2009, 2011, and 2012.

The series is also being turned into an anime by Netflix.
