The embassy in Seoul in a Facebook post Friday said that the DOLE OFW Assistance Information System (OASIS) aims to gather information about OFWs who wish to go back home amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

According to the FB post, that OASIS aims to gather information prior to the departure of the OFW so that all the necessary assistance upon arrival at an airport in the country can be prepared in advance.

Upon arrival in the Philippines, an OFW will have to undergo a mandatory COVID-19 test and quarantine, so swab testing facilities and immediate transport from the airport to the designated quarantine facility has to be in place.

OFWs who are intending to avail of the government’s ongoing repatriation program can fill up and submit a form which they can acquire from: http://oasis.owwa.gov.ph.

This has to be completed and submitted at least 5 days before actual departure from South Korea.

OFWs though can also arrange for their repatriation by calling the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) at 3785-3634/5 or send an email to: [email protected]/[email protected].
