PDEA seizes P6.8-million shabu in Bulacan

TUNGKO, Bulacan – Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency from Regions 4-A and 1, and the Bulacan PDEA provincial office seized about P6.8-million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation conducted at a parking lot of a mall here on Friday, June 12.

The suspect, identified by the PDEA as Arnaldo Solomon, was in possession of about 1,000 grams of shabu worth P6.8 million.

Investigation disclosed that Solomon has been under surveillance for more than three months, getting supplies from the National Capital Region (NCR) and distribute drug items in Bulacan, La Union and Laguna area.

The suspect was said to have stopped doing the business due to strict impelementation of community quarantine but resumed operation after observing relaxed road checkpoints.

Solomon will be facing a case for violation of Sec. 5, Art II of Republic Article 9165.

Only last Tuesday, P1.8-million worth of shabu was confiscated from a drug suspect in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tuktukan, Guiguinto; and last June 4, another buy bust operation yielded P5.1-billion worth of illegal drugs in Marilao, Bulacan
