P400,000-worth of shabu seized in Bulacan

CAMP GEN ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan - After the Bulacan police seized more than P5 billion worth of shabu in Marilao town last Thursday, another stash worth P408,000 was confiscated from two alleged dealers in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Borol First in Balagtas town on Friday, June 5.

Bulacan Police Director Col. Lawrence B. Cajipe identified the arrested suspects as Nestor Jong Gallardo, 45, and Metchilyn Sumigot Duller, 39. Both were included in the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) watch list.

Based on the report of Balagtas Police Chief Major Ronnie Pascua, an undercover police officer was able to purchase a plastic sachet of shabu from the suspects that resulted in their arrest.

Thirteen transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with estimated weight of more or less 60 grams, and street value of P408,000, a weighing scale, and the buy-bust money were confiscated from the suspects during the operation.

The arrested suspects and recovered pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for laboratory examination while appropriate criminal complaints against the suspects are being prepared for filing in court.
