CAGAYAN – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 2 Office has a new Director in Joel Balingan Plaza.

Prior to his appointment, Plaza was PDEA National Capital Region director.
“As I assume my post as regional director, I look forward to strong partnership with local government units (LGUs), PNP (Philippine National Police) and other law enforcement agencies, and focus on clearing the remaining drug-affected barangays because by then we can say we have achieved our goal of making Cagayan Valley Region as drug-free,” Plaza said.
Meanwhile, outgoing Officer-in-Charge Christy Silvad assumed his new post as PDEA-2 Assistant Regional Director.
