A garbage collector, who was allegedly involved in illegal drug activities, was killed by two unidentified men in his home in Tondo, Manila Monday afternoon, June 1. Police identified the victim as Jose Dennis Dazer, 40, resident of Barangay 105 at Zone 8 in Tondo, Manila.
The victim's live-in partner, who witnessed the killing, told the police that Dazer was inside his house when the perpetrators entered at around 4 p.m. One of the unidentified men shot the victim multiple times on different parts of his body while the other stood outside as the lookout. The assailants then fled with the weapon used.
Police said that some text messages in Dazer's phone show that he was involved in the illegal drug trade. The victim's body was brought to Funeraria Cruz for autopsy examination.
Follow-up investigation is ongoing for the possible identification and arrest of the gunmen.
