BACOLOD CITY - A barangay councilor and a male teenager were killed after they figured in a road accident in Sitio Plasanon, Barangay Salong, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental over the weekend.
Killed in the accident were Kagawad Larry Fernando 53, of Barangay Inapoy; and Ferdinand Tanguar, 19, of Barangay 2.
Both victims, who were riding a motorcycle, reportedly occupied the middle lane, which caused the collision, a report from Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) said.
Fernando was on his way to the city proper from Barangay Inapoy when the collision occurred last Saturday, police records showed.
Both victims were brought to Lorenzo D Zayco District Hospital, where they later expired due to serious injuries.
