VIRAC, Catanduanes - The provincial office of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) here is giving support to agrarian beneficiaries through a program that commenced on May 28, which allows them to have sustainable income during the time of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
DAR - Catanduanes launched 'Tianggeng Agraryo, Suporta sa Beneficiario" as a way to ensure sustainability of the local farmers' livelihood and ease their burden brought about by the pandemic.
The program aims to help farmer beneficiaries sell their freshly harvested vegetables and locally made handicrafts for a reasonable price.
According to Chief Agrarian Reform Officer Nerisa Aldea, the activity will be conducted every second and final Thursday of the month.
