In a statement on Monday, Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer Ellordo Gualberto said the distribution of food packs is being implemented under the project called “The PaSSOver: ARBOld Move for the Deliverance of ARBs from the COVID-19 pandemic.”

"This is just the first batch which covered the municipalities of New Bataan, Compostela, Montevista, and Monkayo. Distribution in other municipalities will continue in the following weeks until all 1,438 ARBs of the province are all accounted for," Gualberto said.

Each food pack contains four kilos of rice, four packs of instant noodles, three canned sardines, 10 pieces of washable face masks, and 25 tablets of vitamin C.

Meanwhile, farmer Lilia Dicnan of Montevista said she was very grateful for the food packs received by her family.

"This is such a big help for us during this crisis," Dicnan said.

The department said the ARBOld Move project is being rolled out to provide immediate delivery of support services to ARBs such as food subsidies and livelihood opportunities.
