The Pasig City government announced that they will be distributing the allowances of its 3,325 scholars through electronic payment.
In a post on Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto’s official Facebook page on May 8, it was announced that starting May 12, the scholars will receive their allowance through an e-payment app.
“…para di na kayo pumila sa pagador natin (so you don’t have to fall in line anymore),” the post read.
The move to distribute the said allowances through e-payment is also part of the city government’s efforts to promote social distancing.
The allowances to be given cover the months of March and April.
As of this writing, the FB post has already gotten 15,500 likes and has been shared more than 2,300 times.
Mayor Vico has been known for making full use of technology to provide better services for his constituents.
