Three more local governments units (LGUs) in the National Capital Region (NCR) have completed the distribution of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) emergency subsidies, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said on Tuesday.

The DSWD-NCR reported that aside from Caloocan City, cities of Manila, Pasig, and Parañaque recorded 100 percent SAP payout.

In a Facebook post, the agency thanked the three cities for their "100 percent implementation of SAP."

In Manila, a total of 185,680 low-income families have been served, receiving more than P1.48 billion worth of emergency subsidies, it said.

On the other hand, over P621.39 million worth of cash aid has been extended to 77,674 beneficiaries in Parañaque, according to the post. Pasig City managed to serve 93,867 beneficiaries, with the amount of SAP distributed in this city totaling P750.93 million.

DSWD-NCR regional director Vicente Gregorio Tomas earlier said aside from the three cities, among the LGUs that were able to serve more than half of their target beneficiaries were Valenzuela, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Pateros, Quezon City, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, and San Juan.

He disclosed that as of 6 p.m., May 9, a total of 1,145,117 families have been served so far, receiving more than P9.16 billion worth of cash subsidies.

The amount of cash subsidies distributed in the NCR is 73.4 percent of P12,468,920,000 downloaded to the 17 LGUs, 16 of which are cities. The fund is intended to benefit 1,558,615 target low-income, non-4Ps families in the NCR.
