The Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) has joined other organizations in urging Congress to conduct a swift, but fair, balanced, and reasonable, consideration of the various bills filed dealing with the proposed renewal of the franchise of ABS-CBN.
“It is important, during these difficult and challenging times, for all our countrymen to have access to truthful news and entertainment through efficient, effective, and far-reaching broadcast and communications systems. And we express our sympathy to the thousands who joined the jobless ranks at this time of economic crisis,” FINEX said in a statement.
The sooner the matter of the renewal of the franchise of ABS-CBN is settled, the quicker it will be for everyone to move forward, the group said. “We should all be united in finding ways to defeat the pandemic and to rise quickly thereafter,” FINEX said.
