The Paranaque City government continues to provide vegetables in the family food packs being distributed to city residents affected by the enhanced community quarantine.

According to city treasurer Anthony Pulamo, aside from vegetables, a new item—sugar—has been added to the regular food pack.

Pulmano said that the city government has about P135 million coming from their quick response fund for use in the city’s expenses in the purchase of vegetables like eggplants, squash, sayote, broccoli, cauliflower, green bean (sitaw), ampalaya, and onions.

He also added that aside from giving nutritious food to the city’s residents, the city government is also helping farmers from Benguet and the vegetable cooperatives in Batangas.

The LGU has also bought about 100,000 kilos of sugar.
