Pasay City arrest 10, including Chinese and Vietnamese nationals, for violating ECQ rules

Ten persons, two of them Chinese nationals and one Vietnam national, were arrested in violation of the rules of the enhanced community quarantine in Pasay City.

Police identified the arrested suspects as Mark Anthony Torres, 26, Jherome Rado, 21, Jhayzar Panadero, 33, and Baby Ruth delos Angeles, 43, all residents of 1323 L. Guerrero St., Ermita, Manila; Cheng Weina, 32, Liang Wenli, 31, both Chinese nationals, and Dong Gia Nghia, 24, Vietnam national, all residents at Monarch Parksuit on Bradco Avenue, Paranaque City; Welfredo Coquilla, 55, from Quezon City; Luzviminda Baran, 69, from Malate, Manila; and Crisanto Mendoza, 20, of Gamban Extension, Pasay City.

The police said that members of the MOA Sub-Station 10 were conducting patrol along EDSA Extension corner Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City when they spotted Bernal, Rado, Panadero, and Delos Angeles roaming around at about 7 a.m. Police said they all failed to show any valid quarantine passes.

The six others were accosted by the police at about 10 a.m. along JW Diokno Boulevard corner Coral Way, Pasay City. Arrested by patrolling members of the MOA Sub-Staion 10 for roaming around, they also failed to show any quarantine pass.

They will be charged for violating Sec. 9 of Republic Act No. 11332, the Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act, in relation to Sec. 4 of Proclamation No. 922, which declares a public health emergency in the country.
