Recently, a netizen posted a photo showing Traffic Aide 2 Lucas Alcaraz Jr. not wearing a face mask while manning a checkpoint along Alabang-Zapote Road in Almanza Uno, Las Piñas City.

MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim said that they immediately sanctioned the traffic enforcer for his shortcoming.

According to the agency, Alcaraz admitted that he was the person shown on the photos. In his defense, he said that he left his mask at a carenderia where he ate.

With this, Alcaraz was placed under preventive suspension by the MMDA.

Lim warned Alcaraz that a repetition of the same offense will be dealt with more severely.

Alcaraz was also given a citation ticket for violating Las Piñas City Ordinance No. 1689-20 (series of 2020) which orders the mandatory wearing of face masks at public places and shall pay the corresponding fine.

Recently, the MMDA sanctioned its employees for violating the ECQ guidelines, some of them even got fired.
