Number of Asian Hospital healthcare workers under quarantine drops

The number of healthcare workers that the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntinlupa city had put under quarantine has decreased.

The Asian Hospital indicated in its dashboard posted on its Facebook page on Wednesday, Aptril 29, that 104 of its healthcare workers are currently under quarantine due to possible exposure to the deadly 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

On Monday, April 27, it posted that it has quarantined 126 of its healthcare workers.

The hospital also reported on Wednesday that more of its patients have recovered from COVID-19.

“With this, Asian Hospital and Medical Center records another released patient, a total of 50 discharged patients with improved health status since January,” read its statement.

“Encouraging everyone to practice hand hygiene, cough etiquette, strict social distancing, and remaining at home are the new norms nowadays,” it also reminded the public.

The hospital’s dashboard also showed that it currently has in admission 12 COVID-19 patients and 26 suspected with the virus.

There are already 29 patients who had died at the hospital who were found positive with COVID-19.

The hospital has also lost one of its physicians, Dr Mary Grace Lim, who passed away on April 6 after succumbing to COVID-19.
