VP: Let's write letters to thank, inspire frontliners

Those who have a message for coronavirus patients and frontliners can send their personal letters to them through the Office of the Vice President (OVP).

Vice President Leni Robredo encouraged the public to send their messages to show their love and support for COVID-19 patients and frontliners in this time of public health crisis.

Robredo herself has written letters expressing her gratitude to health workers and frontliners for their tireless service. She sent her letters when her office delivered the protective gear and food packs to various hospitals.

“Perhaps, they will feel more loved if they also hear from you. We are encouraging you to send your messages for them,” she said in a post on her social media accounts.

Frontliners such as medical workers, police personnel, and soldiers continue to work relentlessly towards containing the spread of COVID-19 under the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.

Other essential workers include grocery clerks, security guards, and food delivery drivers.

The vice president said the frontliners are the “sources of hope and inspiration” in the ongoing fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Robredo’s office is helping boost the morale of frontliners through the #SalamatNgPagasa project.

#SalamatNgPagasa will also feature touching stories of Filipinos during these difficult times on her Sunday radio show being aired over dzXL.

The initiative is under the OVP’s Istorya ng Pag-asa program that brings real-life inspiring stories to the nation.
