HyperX has recently announced the new Core and Core Wireless versions for the entry-level gaming headphones, Cloud Stinger. What's a big plus for this lineup is it ships with 7.1 surround sound, which is typically reserved for pricier headphones.

This technology brings in more immersive gameplay. If you're playing Fortnite, you'll hear your enemies shuffling around the floor above you. If in a vivid open world, you'll hear sounds of wildlife and be able to tell where they're coming from. Though, since the Cloud Stinger is an entry-level headphones, we really can't measure the clarify of its audio. But we've been happy with HyperX products in the past. Me, personally, have used a Cloud II, which has a satisfying 7.1 surround sound. In the past, we've also reviewed one of the earlier Cloud Stinger headphones and we've praised it for its audio.

The wireless model connects to the PC via USB adapter. According to HyperX, battery can last up to 17 hours.

There's no official announcement of these headphones hitting the local market soon. So stay tuned!
