Vice President Leni Robredo turned to technology with a robot alcohol dispenser to stem the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In a video posted on her social media accounts, Robredo was seen on Friday using the robot dispenser to disinfect her hands at her Quezon City Reception House, where she holds office.

“Among the blessings that arrived at our office today was this robot alcohol dispenser from our friends at Dr. Yanga's Colleges, Inc. Cool way to disinfect, just had to try it out,” she said in a post on her Facebook and Twitter accounts.

This was the second robot built by Dr. Yanga’s Colleges for Robredo, after receiving one when its students paid her a visit last year.

Robredo has been at the center of her office’s relief work to help health workers and other frontliners in the fight against COVID-19.

While Robredo works with her team, her office has imposed infection prevention and control measures within its premises such as physical distancing and disinfection of its facilities.

OVP personnel and donor-partners are also required to wearface masks and sanitary alcohol dispensers are installed at the Angat Buhay relief operations center.
