Another COVID-19 Bulakenyo patient dies

MALOLOS, Bulacan – The Bulacan Provincial Health Office (PHO) reported on Friday evening that another coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patient has been added to the province’s number of fatalities from the deadly illness.

The PHO officials said that Patient 5243, a 61-year-old man from Marilao, was the 22nd fatality recorded in the province.

The Bulacan PHO also confirmed that the total number of COVID-19 patients in Bulacan is now at100, after 26 new positive cases have been added on the list Friday afternoon.

Eleven of the 26 COVID-19 new positive cases in Bulacan were PH4369, a 38-year-old woman from Paombong; PH1079, a 59-year-old woman from San Rafael; PH4514, a 23-year-old man from Angat; PH5430, a 23-year-old man from Balagtas; PH 1541, 27-year-old male from Balagtas; a 48-year-old woman from City of Malolos; a 35-year-old female from Baliwag; a 58-year-old man from City of San Jose Del Monte; PH4172, a 34-year-old woman from Baliwag; PH5654, 29-year-old female from Bulakan; and PH 4497, 37-year-old female from Malolos.

The number of COVID-19 probable cases in the province has risen to 93, and suspected cases to 312.

The PHO officials said that the increasing number of COVID-19 patients was expected because many of the listed PUIs and PUMs before were already being tested.

"Ang mga probable at suspected cases ay tinututukan na ng mga experts at nang sa gayun ay mabilis na malaman kung sinu-sino ang mga COVID-19 positive para agad na maisolate at di na makapanghawa pa," they said.
