A total of 184 Japanese nationals departed Mactan, Cebu on Wednesday morning to Narita Airport in Tokyo, Japan on board a special flight of Philippine Airlines (PAL) PR 5434.
PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said the flight was arranged by the Japanese Embassy.
PAL's Airbus A321 departed Mactan at 10:06 a.m. with passengers who were stranded in Cebu due to the government's enhanced community quarantine measure.
Since March 20, PAL's Cebu station has operated a total of eight special flights from Cebu to Narita to bring Japanese tourists back to their home-country.
PAL cabin crew wore personal protective equipment in line with the company's safety measures.
