Nearly P700k-worth of suspected shabu seized in Manila buy-bust

Around P686,800-worth of suspected shabu were seized in a buy-bust operation in Tondo, Manila on April 8, Wednesday evening.

Police identified the suspect as Orland Cabueñas, 35, utility worker, resident of the area.

Elements of the Sta. Ana Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the sting operation in front of a gasoline station in Tondo, Manila at about 9 p.m.

Investigation showed that the suspect was arrested after transacting a drug deal with a poseur buyer.

Police retrieved a plastic bag of suspected shabu weighing 101 grams and worth about P686,800 from the suspect, who also had a sachet of suspected shabu and the P1,000-marked money.

The confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory Office for laboratory examination.

The suspect, who is now under police custody, will be facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
