Manila Water to cut water rates starting this April

By Rizal Obanil

Starting April, water rates will go down for Manila Water customers.

In an interview over Dobol B sa News TV, Manila Water Corporate Communications head Jeric Sevilla said that customers who consume only 30 cubic meters will have a P 5-reduction in the water bill starting April and this will be in effect till June this year.

Sevilla explained that the reduction in the water bill is due to the foreign currency differential adjustment.

He stressed that this only applies to customers who consume only 30 cubic meters of water or less per month.

But for those who consume more, there will still be a reduction in their water bill.

However, Sevilla said that the reduction will be less than P 5.
