LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Pangasinan has approved a resolution censuring the leadership of Sta. Barbara town for opposing the provincial government’s plan to put up a quarantine site for patients under investigation (PUIs) it one of its barangays.

In passing Provincial Resolution No. 332-2020, the Pangasinan provincial board expressed its “strongest displeasure over the act of the Municipality of Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan in opposing the intention of the Provincial Government of Pangasinan to convert a provincial facility located at the Provincial Nursery in Barangay Tebag…for hospital discharged PUIs).”
The resolution was passed during the first-ever online special session of the SP held March 27 wherein the session was held online and the SP members attending through video call from their respective homes.
The online session was presided by Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino.
The session was facilitated through ZOOM Cloud App and Facebook video call.
· Provincial Resolution No. 333-2020: Endorsing the possible establishment of temporary holding facilities (half-way house) for the final completion and compliance of the 14-day Department of Health (DOH) quarantine protocol for asymptomatic Persons Under Investigation (PUIs) initially admitted at Provincial Government hospitals of the Province at any Provincial Government facility strategically located in the Province of Pangasinan;
· Provincial Resolution No. 334-2020: Expressing deepest sympathies and sincerest condolences to the bereaved family of the late former Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Raul P. Sison.
