Singer-songwriters Ebe Dancel, Bullet Dumas, and Johnoy Danao are set to perform in an online jamming session tonight at 8 as they come together for Earth Hour.

The show will be streamed on the official Facebook page of Gabay Kalikasan.

“In the midst of the COVID-19 health crisis, we need to stand together now more than ever to safeguard our future – and the future of our planet. PLDT-Smart Communications, Inc.’s Gabay Kalikasan supports World Wildlife Fund WWF and the official Earth Hour organization as we encourage communities to celebrate #EarthHour2020 digitally on March 28, Saturday from 8:30PM-9:30PM, from the safety of our homes,” they wrote.

The Earth Hour event was started by WWF and partners as a symbolic lights-out event in Sydney in 2007. It is now one of the world’s largest grassroots movements for the environment.

Held every year on the last Saturday of March, Earth Hour engages millions of people in more than 180 countries and territories, switching off their lights to show support for our planet.

But Earth Hour goes far beyond the symbolic action of switching off – it has become a catalyst for positive environmental impact, driving major legislative changes by harnessing the power of the people and collective action.

According to their official website, Earth Hour is an open-source and they welcome everyone, anyone, to take part and help amplify their mission to unite people to protect the planet.
