BUTUAN CITY – Officials of the regional office of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE Caraga) here released the cash assistance for the first batch of beneficiaries of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) Adjustment Measure Program (CAMP).

The first two recipients of CAMP in the region received their P5,000 assistance on Thursday (March 26) at the DOLE Caraga Regional Office 13 here.

One of the recipients was Dhareen P. Monta, a staff at the Eduhome Enterprises Inc. in Butuan City.

She is regular employee and has been working with the retail company for the past two years.

The second recipient was Geronimo R. Felisan Jr., a 28-year-old purchaser in Lime and Zest Kitchen which is also in this city.

He has been with the restaurant for one year and one month, and presently with regular employment status.

Both were grateful with the cash assistance given to them and with high hopes that other workers in the region would also benefit in CAMP.

Aside from them, there are 155 workers who are set to receive the cash assistance next week or first week of April.

Currently, 76 companies with a total of 1,098 workers applied for CAMP in Agusan del Norte.
