Number of Filipinos infected by COVID-19 abroad rise to 245

The total number of Filipinos who had tested positive with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outside the Philippines has jumped to 245 as of March 27, 2020, according to the latest infographics released by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Friday.

With the sudden spike in the number of Filipinos affected abroad, a new fatality was added to the list, which brings the total number of death to four.

By region, the Asia Pacific has the biggest number of Filipinos affected (126), followed by Europe (50), Middle East and Africa (47), and the Americas (22).
Even the number of countries and regions where Filipinos contracted the virus also increased from 26 to 28 in just one day.
