LINGAYEN, Pangasinan --- A Person Under Investigation (PUI) died at the Region I Medical Center in Dagupan City while being treated for symptoms of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

This prompted Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil to issue Executive Order No. 26, Series of 2020, placing barangay Lisbong West under an extreme enhanced community quarantine effective Wednesday, March 25.

Pending the result of the confirmatory test on whether or not the PUI died due to COVID-19 or other causes, Mayor Bataoil said the quarantine measure will limit the movement of the people of the barangay where the PUI was a resident.

"This means that no one shall be allowed to enter and exit from Libsong West. Residents of Libsong West are not allowed to leave their respective residences and are ordered to be on strict home quarantine. In no case shall anyone from the said barangay be allowed to leave their respective homes, except to buy food and medicines," the EO stated.

The COVID Monitoring Report in Pangasinan as of March 25 showed a total of Persons Under Monitoring at 66,908, PUMs under the 14 day-quarantine at 61,626, while those who completed their quarantine are at 5,249, and incomplete quarantine at 33.
