10,000 relief packs distributed to Apaliteños


By Donna Rempillo APALIT, Pampanga – The local government here distributed 10,000 relief packs Wednesday, March 25, to residents, prioritizing tricycle drivers, daily wage earners, and cancer and dialysis patients.

The Municipal Social Welfare Development was the lead department in the repacking and distribution of the relief packs, which consisted on two kilos of rice, canned goods and noodles.

Cesar Carlos, head of the municipal disaster risk reduction and management office of Apalit, appealed to the people of Apalit to give a helping hand to their fellow Cabalen who were gravely affected by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Carlos also commended the volunteers who tirelessly prepared food packs for frontliners of the community.

 “Maraming salamat po sa ating frontliners din – kapulisan, bumbero, mga reserved service, mga miyembro ng Municipal Health Office ” Carlos said.
