Five Filipinos in Hong Kong positive for COVID-19

Hours after confirming that another Filipino tested positive for COVID-19 in the Hong Kong-Special Administrative Region on Monday, the Philippine Consulate said two more were officially confirmed with the virus by health authorities of the former crown colony.

“The Hong Kong Health Department officially informed the Philippine Consulate General this afternoon that two more Filipinos have tested positive for COVID-19,” the Consulate wrote in an updated advisory on its website.

This brings the number of Filipinos in Hong Kong confirmed to have COVID-19 to five.

Based on the updated figures released by the Department of Foreign Affairs on Monday, there are 153 confirmed cases of Filipinos afflicted with the virus worldwide. Of that number, 66 are undergoing treatment, 86 have recovered or were discharged from various health facilities, and one died.

These Filipinos with COVID-19 cases are situated in 23 countries and regions all over the world.
