Light Rail Transit Lines 1 and 2, and the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 have all announced a temporary suspension of its operations starting March 17, 2020.

The Light Rail Manila Corporation said operations for LRT-1 will remain suspended until April 12, 2020, or “earlier as advised by the government.”

“Upon the resumption of public transportation services by the government, LRMC is ready to continue enforcing strict measures to protect the health and well-being of its valued passengers and employees,” it added.

LRT 2 did not specify as to when its operations will resume.

MRT-3 will halt operations until April 13. It also announced the cancellation of the rehabilitation work on its train scheduled this coming Holy Week.

The ban on mass public transportation was among the measures included in the enhanced community quarantine to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
