Cases have been found in several cities across the country, including the capital Hanoi, the business hub Ho Chi Minh City and some cities in northern and central Vietnam, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

Vietnam has 53 confirmed cases of the disease caused by the virus and 94 suspected cases under quarantine. There are 16 cases of patients who have recovered, it added.

Vietnam said it would deny entry and stop issuing tourist visas to citizens from Europe’s Schengen visa-free area and Britain starting from March 15.
