Maxus Philippines expands their lineup of commercial vehicles with the addition of its newest member, the T60 pickup. Unveiled at a special event in Arcovia City along C5 in Pasig City were the T60 4×2 Pro and 4×4 Elite pickup.

The longest and widest in its class, the T60 allows more flexibility in cargo capability, while seating five. It has a wading depth of 800 mm, a 1,060-kg payload capacity, and a towing capacity of 2,500-kg.

Under the hood is a Euro-4 compliant 2.8-liter diesel engine with a variable geometry turbocharger, mated to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. This combination produces maximum power of 150-Ps at 3,400 rpm and maximum torque of 360-Nm at 1,600-2,800rpm. The engine also comes with Drive Mode Select to tailor its performance to various traffic conditions.

Standard features are an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Mirrorlink, rear sensors, rain sensing wipers, cruise control and rear air conditioning vents.

The 4×4 Elite variant is equipped with additional features like LED headlamps and daytime running lamps, an Electronic Stabilization Program, power driver seat adjustment, push-start ignition, a larger 10-inch monitor for its infotainment system, and automatic air conditioning.

Safety equipment is composed of dual front driver and passenger-side airbags, three-point seatbelts for five occupants, ISOFIX anchor points, Electronic Stabilization Program (4×4 AT), ABS and EBD, a reverse camera, Tire Pressure Monitor (4×4 AT) and built-in anti-theft immobilizer.

At the launch venue, Maxus provided attendees an on- and off-road course to test drive and get a feel for the power and ride of the T60 4×2 Pro and 4×4 Elite. Handling was experienced on an obstacle course to show the T60’s accurate steering and road feel. They showed how easy it was to maneuver in tight spaces despite its size. Its towing ability was shown by two demo units towing a trailer with a motorcycle and another with a tractor.

The T60 breezed through their off-road course where it easily negotiated a 10-foot climb, a four-foot dip into a mud pit, and had no troubles with the obstacles which put its suspension articulation to the test.

Maxus offers the T60 with a five-year (or 100,000-km) warranty, whichever comes first. The first PMS is set at 5,000-km with the succeeding service every 15,000-km,  or once a year, thereafter. This schedule makes it the most convenient and most cost-efficient in the industry. An added bonus is the 24/7 roadside assistance, pick-up and delivery service for customers, and on-site servicing for corporate fleet accounts.

The Maxus T60 variants priced at PhP998,000 for the 4×2 Pro MT; PhP1,078,000 for the 4×2 Pro AT; and PhP1,328,000 for the 4×4 Elite AT.

While it is still new to the market, Maxus is offering special introductory prices of PhP 50K off its SRP, resulting in PhP948,000, PhP1,028,000, and P1,278,000, respectively.

The T60 is available in the following colors: Agate Red, Lava Gray, and Blanc White for the T60 4×2 Pro, and Olive Green and Aurora Silver for the T60 4×4 Elite. Obsidian Black is available for both variants.

More importantly, the T60 is packed with features at an entry level price.
