Maxus Philippines expands their lineup of commercial vehicles with the addition of its newest member, the T60 pickup. Unveiled at a special event in Arcovia City along C5 in Pasig City were the T60 4x2 Pro and 4x4 Elite pickup.

The longest and widest in its class, the T60 allows more flexibility in cargo capability, while seating five. It has a wading depth of 800 mm, a 1,060-kg payload capacity, and a towing capacity of 2,500-kg.

Powerplant

Under the hood is a Euro-4 compliant 2.8-liter diesel engine with a variable geometry turbocharger, mated to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. This combination produces maximum power of 150-Ps at 3,400 rpm and maximum torque of 360-Nm at 1,600-2,800rpm. The engine also comes with Drive Mode Select to tailor its performance to various traffic conditions.

At the launch venue, Maxus provided attendees an on- and off-road course to test drive and get a feel for the power and ride of the T60 4x2 Pro and 4x4 Elite. Handling was experienced on an obstacle course to show the T60’s accurate steering and road feel. They showed how easy it was to maneuver in tight spaces despite its size. Its towing ability was shown by two demo units towing a trailer with a motorcycle and another with a tractor.

The T60 breezed through their off-road course where it easily negotiated a 10-foot climb, a four-foot dip into a mud pit, and had no troubles with the obstacles which put its suspension articulation to the test.

Warranty

Maxus offers the T60 with a five-year (or 100,000-km) warranty, whichever comes first. The first PMS is set at 5,000-km with the succeeding service every 15,000-km,  or once a year, thereafter. This schedule makes it the most convenient and most cost-efficient in the industry. An added bonus is the 24/7 roadside assistance, pick-up and delivery service for customers, and on-site servicing for corporate fleet accounts.

The Maxus T60 variants priced at PhP998,000 for the 4x2 Pro MT; PhP1,078,000 for the 4x2 Pro AT; and PhP1,328,000 for the 4x4 Elite AT.
