Cessna plane lands safely in Ilocos Sur shoreline

STA. CRUZ, Ilocos Sur - - A Cessna plane with body number 152 did a safe emergency landing in the shoreline of Barangay Pilar, Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur on Wednesday.

Police Master Sergeant Andrew Christian J. Balangue, duty investigator of the Sta. Cruz town’s police station, said the occupants of the plane identified as Miguel Franco Tubasis, 28, flight instructor of WCC Aviation School, Binalonan, Pangasinan, and a resident of Barangay Trenchera, Tayug, Pangasinan, and Ramielle Cycle Deltran, 21, student pilot and a resident of 126 Manibaug, Libutad, Porac, Pampanga, were both safe after the emergency landing.

Balangue reported that at exactly 3:30 PM on Wednesday they received a report about the emergency landing of the aircraft along the shoreline of Barangay Pilar.

Tubasis, the flight instructor, said that they were on their flight heading to south from Vigan City, Ilocos Sur going to Binalonan, Pangasinan when their Cessna 152 plane encountered engine trouble. The pilot determine that the shoreline of Barangay Pilar as the best place for their landing.

Balangue said the airplane mechanics of the WCC Aviation School arrived on Wednesday evening to check and repair the aircraft.
