TACLOBAN City – President Rodrigo Duterte was scheduled to lead the distribution of Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) benefits to 262 former rebels in San Isidro, Leyte on Thursday.

Philippine Information Agency 8 Director Olivia Tiu said the beneficiaries are 33 former New People’s Army (NPA) members and 229 Militia ng Bayan who availed of the E-CLIP.

They were to receive P15,000 immediate assistance from E-CLIP and P10,000 from the Provincial Government of Leyte.

The 33 former NPAs were also set to receive from the President P50,000 livelihood assistance.
